Tony Rock Says Will Smith Hasnt Reached Out to Brother Chris Rock after the Slap
Following the Will Smith and Chris Rock slap incident at the 2022 Oscars, Tony Rock, the younger brother of comedian Chris, has now come forward to spill the beans on the matter.
The actor took to Twitter to answer a few questions about the ongoing situation. In one of his tweets, he was straightforward enough to say that he didn't accept Will's apology.
Tony Rock Says Chris Rock Is Doing Fine
"Let's Go! '20 Questions Tuesday' starts now," Tony tweeted, asking fans to drop some questions for him to answer on March 30, 2022.
Hundreds of questions started pouring in afterward, with many inquiring about the slap incident.
One curious Twitter user mentioned Will's apology during his award acceptance speech and questioned, "Do you approve of the apology?"
Tony's answer, as mentioned earlier, was a clear "No."
Many fans of Chris were also keen to know if the comedian was doing alright after the incident.
Addressing that, the brother, who worked with Will in the 2003 sitcom All of Us, implied everyone was doing fine in the family.
A fan similarly asked, "@TONYROCK More importantly how is @chrisrock and would he check mate on his comedy tour?" to which he replied, "Still rich."
The tweet also allegedly hinted at the surge in ticket sales for Chris's ongoing comedy tour.
As per Variety, the dramatic moment apparently inspired some viewers to buy tickets to see Chris perform live.
The report further stated that the secondary ticketing marketplace, TickPick, sold more tickets to the comedian's tour overnight than they did in the past month combined.
Also, the ticket prices have surged since Sunday night, going up from a minimum of $46 per ticket on March 18 to a minimum of $341.
Will Smith Has Not Reached Out to Chris Rock
Amongst hundreds of tweets, a user on the platform asked Tony if he, Chris, or their family members would be open to communicating with Will or his family members — if the actor came forward to speak.
"@TONYROCK given you worked with the smiths for some years on all of us and will has never done something like this in decades of him being public if he speaks directly to Chris and the rock family are you open?" the tweet read.

Tony's reply revealed a lot of things, as he mentioned his family was still waiting for Will to make a move.
However, the Academy Award-winning actor hasn't directly reached out to the comedian after the incident. "Waiting..." the comedian's brother wrote in his tweet.
Not just that, he cleared the rumors about the slap being fake or staged. He called the incident "foul" while stating Chris hadn't planned for the moment.
While Tony suggested Will and Chris were yet to talk about the matter, Sean "Diddy" Combs did state that they settled the feud after the event.
He confirmed the duo let bygones be bygones, saying, "That's not a problem. That's over. I can confirm that."
He further told Page Six, "It's all love. They're brothers."
However, according to Tony, Diddy lied about the two celebrities fixing the beef as there had been no interaction between them.
