Shia LaBeouf Sustained Minimal Injuries to Head, Hand in Set Accident
Already on the mend! Shia LaBeouf was injured in an accident on the North Dakota set of his new film this week, but a rep for the Fury actor tells Us Weekly he'll be back on his feet in no time at all.
TMZ reported on Wednesday, June 24, that LaBeouf, 29, had been hospitalized with a "massive head injury" after a stunt gone wrong. The site claimed he'd received 20 stitches and 13 staples to his skull and finger.
His rep, however, downplayed the incident, telling Us he "sustained minimal injuries late last night on the set of his current film, American Honey." (The indie drama, directed by Andrea Arnold, also stars Arielle Holmes and McCaul Lombardi.)
"As protocol, production sought out medical attention and Shia received stitches on his hand and for a laceration on his head," the rep says. "He is due back on set tomorrow."

LaBeouf is no stranger to dealing with injuries, having survived a bad car accident back in 2008. Nine months after the wreck, his left hand had yet to heal — and the actor told Entertainment Weekly he wasn't sure it ever would.
He also sustained various injuries on the set of Transformers, which he described as "the most physical thing" he'd ever had to do. At one point, he told EW, he "basically stuck a f–king sharp object through [his] eyelid," which of course required stitches. "This is the most insane s–t I've ever been a part of," he said at the time.
