Annie O'Malley flourishes with self-confidence in new music video, "Island"

We have a new independence anthem. Today, CelebMix proudly premieres the music video for “Island”, the new single from Annie O’Malley. At just nineteen years old, O’Malley brings a self-assured maturity, finding confidence in standing alone. The music video sees O’Malley flourish against a vibrant floral back drop as she claims her independence.

On “Island,” Annie says: “This song was written from a feeling of confusion and frustration. The feeling of people not accepting who you are, encouraging you to enjoy being alone. This upbeat song takes an uncomfortable topic and makes it a positive anthem.”

Annie first garnered attention last year with the release of her independently released single “Chase Me Down.” Her debut EP was produced by Johnny K (Plain White T’s) and is expected to be released later this year.
