Is Shannon Sharpe Fired? Where Is He Going After Leaving Undisputed?

Shannon Sharpe is not fired. Undisputed co-host Shannon Sharpe will leave the show after he has reached a buyout agreement with Fox Sports as reported The New York Post.

Sharpe and co-host Skip Bayless will continue to host the show through the NBA Finals concluding in June. Shortly after that, Sharpe is anticipated to make his last appearance on the program.

However, the exact date is yet to be announced. Moreover, Shannon’s famous podcast, Club Shay Shay, which has a massive audience, will also sever ties with Fox Sports.

Sharpe’s buyout agreement with Fox Sports 1 has not been made public. Also, it is unknown whether or not anyone will replace the co-host on the network’s flagship talk show.

Sharpe and Bayless first collaborated on Undisputed in 2016, following Bayless’ departure from ESPN, where he co-hosted First Take with Stephen A. Smith.

Following Bayless’s controversial tweet in response to Bills safety Damar Hamlin’s cardiac arrest on the field on 2 January, tension arose between the two co-hosts of Undisputed.

Sharpe urged his co-host to delete his tweet. But Bayless reportedly insisted on keeping it up. The following day, Sharpe did not come to the program.

As The Post reported, Sharpe wanted to choose the topics for the show on an equal basis with Bayless. The tension between the Undisputed host attracted much attention earlier this year.

Before his career in media, the 2011 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee played in the NFL for 14 seasons and was a tight end who was selected to eight Pro Bowls.
